If you’re reading this, then we know you’ve been there. You’ve had the excitement of receiving a new call to serve from your bishopric or stake presidency only to find out you’ll sit through hours of unstructured meetings over the course of your service, some just to plan other meetings.
Sounds kinda crazy, right?
At Leading Saints we have received countless experiences of individual leaders enduring many of those meetings mentioned, we feel your pain.
A wise ward clerk made the statement above after one such ward council:
“After all is said and done, more was said than done.”
That just about sums up a lot of administrative meetings in the church, doesn’t it? A lot of talk and not very much action.
What about this statement from a former Young Men president:
“The only meeting I have a hard time with is ward council and it's more me than the meeting. The drama from some of the leaders is really hard for me to stomach.”
Can you relate?
